I know duck and Pinot is a bit of a no-brainer but this was such a great dish and such a stellar wine that it's worth revisiting. (Coupled with the fact that some of you may be having duck for Christmas.)

On a hazy March morning @clevedonpier was just a joy - like stepping back into the 50s except for the rows of plaques that line the sides commemorating births, deaths and love affairs. Resolved to go more often. #clevedonpier #clevedom #pier #seaside #somersetWhat a way to kick off a meal: potato beignets with anchovy mayo and parmigiano reggiano. Then two exemplary main courses, cod and mussels with curried crab sauce (a bit like a mouclade) and pork schnitzel with brown butter capers and (more) anchovies. Not many restaurants have main courses that are as good as their starters but @1yorkplace_bristol is one of them.
